Dr. Herbert has been with the Houston County school system for over 20 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences in 1997 from Valdosta State University as well as a Master of Arts in History in 1999. In 2018, Dr. Herbert completed her Doctorate of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction from Mercer University. She also holds certification in Educational Leadership. She is a huge NOLA Saints fan and enjoys travelling around the world, reading, exercising, and playing golf.
As a dedicated Perry Panther, she has coached cheer-leading, softball, and soccer throughout her career. She also participates on multiple academic and leadership teams. Dr. Herbert is a strong advocate of Holocaust and character education. She currently serves as the Social Studies Department Head and the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports System coach at PHS.
